1. Cancellations

For both Kids' Lessons and Free Talk Lessons:

• 10-class package: You are allowed up to 3 free cancellations.

• 20-class package: You are allowed up to 5 free cancellations.

• 30-class package: You are allowed up to 8 free cancellations.

• 40-class package: You are allowed up to 10 free cancellations.

Cancellations must be communicated via WeChat or Classin. Each canceled lesson can be rescheduled once for free, provided both parties agree on a new time. If the same lesson is canceled again or if you exceed the allowed free cancellations, a 50% fee will apply.

Rescheduling may not always be possible, depending on teacher availability.

2. Refunds

Unused or canceled lessons will be refunded within 60 days of your last lesson, or the remaining balance can be applied toward a new course package.

• For Kids' Lessons: Early termination of the course will result in the forfeiture of any discounts, and you will need to pay the regular $20 fee per 30-minute lesson.

• For Free Talk Lessons: Early termination of the course will result in the forfeiture of any discounts, and you will need to pay the regular rate of $15 per 30-minute lesson or $25 per 1-hour lesson.

3. Code of Conduct

To maintain a safe, respectful, and professional learning environment, all communication between students and teachers—whether during class, via messaging, email, or through the Classin platform—must remain appropriate and respectful at all times.

Inappropriate behavior includes, but is not limited to:

• Discussion or suggestion of sexual topics or content

• Offensive, discriminatory, or abusive language

• Harassment, intimidation, or personal attacks

• Sharing inappropriate media or links

• Any conduct that violates professional standards or makes the teacher feel unsafe or uncomfortable

If a student engages in any behavior deemed inappropriate, offensive, or sexual in nature, BEL-English reserves the right to immediately terminate the student’s course package without refund. This policy applies whether the behavior occurs during live classes, via messaging, or any other communication method related to our services.

4. Right to Refuse or Terminate Service

BEL-English reserves the right to refuse or terminate service at its sole discretion, including in cases where a student’s behavior disrupts the learning environment, makes the teacher feel uncomfortable, or violates these terms.

5. Lesson Monitoring and Recording

Lessons may be monitored or recorded for quality assurance, training, and safety purposes. By enrolling in classes, you agree to this practice. Recordings will be stored securely and not shared externally.

6. Confidentiality and Non-Commercial Use

Students may not record, copy, or redistribute lessons or use BEL-English materials for commercial purposes without written permission. Personal information, teaching materials, and feedback are confidential and may not be shared publicly without consent.

7. Indemnity Clause

By using our services, you agree to hold BEL-English and its staff harmless from any liability, loss, or claim arising from violations of these terms, including inappropriate conduct or misuse of lesson content.

8. Jurisdiction and Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with our services shall be resolved under the jurisdiction of the courts of California, USA.

9. Technology and Platform Disclaimer

BEL-English uses third-party platforms (such as Classin and Zoom) to deliver online lessons. While we do our best to ensure stable access, we are not responsible for outages, lag, or technical issues arising from these platforms. In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the lesson.

10. Nature and Other Uncontrollable Events

BEL-English shall not be held liable for delays or non-performance caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to severe weather, internet outages, power failures, or illness.

11. Teacher Assignment Flexibility

While we strive to maintain consistent teacher-student pairings, BEL-English reserves the right to assign or change teachers due to availability, scheduling, or teacher departure. We will always aim to maintain high teaching quality.

12. Trial Lesson Policy

Free trial lessons are offered for first-time students only. Abuse of this policy (e.g., multiple accounts requesting trials) may result in account suspension and denial of service.

13. Parental Supervision for Minors

For students under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must agree to these terms and ensure that the student complies with them. BEL-English is not responsible for unsupervised use of the platform by minors.

14. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing a class package, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
